The Televisa Group’s distributor chooses Protecmedia’s solution to manage the distribution of its magazines

Intermex, distributor of the Mexican group TELEVISA, has chosen Protecmedia’s SHIPO Circulation to develop the project concerning the technological renewal of its magazine distribution, composed of more than 25,000 points of sale in Mexico and approximately 80,000 in the rest of the American continent.

TELEVISA Group publishes 350 magazines and prints a total of 80 million issues, which are delivered through Mexico and America through a complex logistical network. To optimize costs and achieve a controlled management of orders and deliveries for each point of sale, the distributor of the group, Intermex, put in motion an ambitious “Demand Planning” project based on the latest technological advances existing in the sector.

After a long process of analysis and assessment, it chose the SHIPO Circulation solution as the central module of its global project. SHIPO will be integrated into the distributor’s ERP solution and its principal functions will include making estimates and calculating deliveries for each point of the network.

Intermex distributes more than 67% of the magazines with the highest circulation in Mexico and also offers a range of supplementary administrative and marketing services to take products in general to the sales point. It owns the leading distributors in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panamá y Peru and one of its hallmarks is the importance that it gives to its value chain, composed of the relationship between Publishers, Suppliers, Intermex and points of sale
