Due to the integration made possible by the Protecmedia system, the newspaper has not had to increase its structural costs
The Mexican newspaper El Informador has chosen Protecmedia’s MILENIUM editorial system to modernise its technological structure and to ensure that it is prepared for the challenges facing the sector. This will give El Informador a modern newsroom, one in which all workflows are integrated and which will be able to create content for the paper and web editions as well as the different digital channels (tablets, smartphones...) through a single work interface.
El Informador is present in all of these output channels through a simple process which does not increase structural costs at all, since the integration allowed by MILENIUM makes it possible for journalists to dotheir work without having to worry about the medium in which it will be published. All of this is done through an interface that is simple and easy-to-use by all professionals and which allows the creation and subsequent publication of content for any output channel. This ensures that a high level of quality can be maintained, as well as significant efficiency in the newsroom work.
This integration results in simplified coordination of the work of the whole newsroom. This helps to reduce possible errors by avoiding the duplication of processes, thus making workflows more direct and efficient, ultimately ensuring that El Informador can reach readers through more channels, while always maintaining the quality levels of its information.
